Personal Branding Photo Shoot with Port Macquarie Based Wedding Celebrant, Marry Me Mindy

 

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a Personal Branding session with new kid on the block, Mindy of Marry Me Mindy.  Mindy is a fun, sassy, energetic and super organised lady who is starting her career as a wedding celebrant on the Mid North Coast.  Although she’s just starting out as a celebrant, she has years of experience working in various roles in the wedding industry.  

As you can see from the photos below, we had a lot of fun photographing Mindy in a range of locations throughout Port Macquarie.  After Mindy’s hair and makeup was styled by the talented Karina Hamilton, we began with the confetti canon shots in here home, then continued on to a quaint coffee caravan, Round and Round (near to where Mindy volunteers at the Koala Hospital – something I’d love to do too), to an historical building, graffiti wall and finally Harry’s Lookout.  All of these locations speak to Mindy’s personal style and the vibes she hopes and plans to bring to her client’s weddings.

Please introduce yourself.

Hello, I am Mindy! I recently relocated to the Mid North Coast’s beautiful town of Port Macquarie  with my family and dog Mork, (get it, Mork and Mindy?!)

I am no stranger to the wedding industry and have over 15 years of experience in wedding planning, coordinating, hosting, styling, and performing MC duties. Let me tell you, I found a passion.

 

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Passionate, Fun, Organised.

 

What made you want to become a Wedding Celebrant?

I just love, love, love all things weddings. The idea of getting to share one of a couple’s most important days in their lives is amazing to me.

My favourite part of any wedding day, (other than cake of course) is the exchanging of vows at the ceremony. It is a raw emotion you rarely see elsewhere.

 

What unique aspects do you bring to ceremonies / what’s your point of difference?

I am enthusiastic, super organised and bring professionalism with a relaxed fun attitude. I am very much a people person and have no problems working a crowd, in saying that I ensure that the couple are the focus and that their guests are engaged and enjoying themselves. There won’t be any boring ceremonies on my watch.

With a variety of ceremonies, services, and props available, I offer everything you need to make your day amazing. I also dedicate my entire day to the couple. Arriving early to set up and offering post-ceremony services, enabling them to enjoy their day to the fullest.

With an extensive background in Weddings & Events, Floristry and Photography, I can advise and assist on many levels to help create their dream ceremony.

 

What would be your dream wedding to officiate?  

Oooooh that’s a tricky one, I once coordinated and styled a pirate themed wedding which was epic. Id love to don a ‘Captain Hook’ outfit and marry someone pirate style. LOL

But a “Dream” wedding would be a secluded sunset ceremony somewhere on the Whitsundays islands, with my toes in the sand, Live acoustic guitar playing in the background, love vibes flowing and a glass of champa’s to toast the newlyweds after the ceremony.

 

Which areas do you work in?

Port Macquarie and the Mid North Coast. But I am willing to travel.

How was your photoshoot with Alicia at Wildflower Portraits?

My photoshoot with Alicia was awesome, the shoot was super fun, especially the confetti canon and the presence of a goanna that was keeping us on our toes lol. Alicia was professional, flexible and managed to make me feel at ease in front of the lens. With a lot of props, different locations and outfit changes, Alicia managed to make it work, and was flexible with my last minute location addition. The final product was AMAZING, she captured my personality and branding perfectly, and I will be highly recommending Wildflower Portraits to all my future couples.
