Laura’s Portfolio Shoot

Elegant, natural, farm girl and chic – What a brief !

During this calm, overcast afternoon on a back road between Crescent Head and Port Macquarie, we covered a diverse range of genres in Laura’s Model Portfolio shoot, specific to her personal style and the kind of modelling she has been dreaming of doing.

Before a photo shoot we get to the core of why you are doing your photo shoot and what you want to get out of it, so we can make sure we are working together to make that dream come true.

Every one of our shoots is as unique as our clients. We will guide you along the whole journey from clothing to styling to location to posing and expression, and anything else you need to know.

This post includes a selection of images from Laura’s model portfolio shoot here on the NSW Mid North Coast. See more examples of our model portfolio sessions HERE.

LOVE THE PHOTOS! You are an awesome photographer 🙂

At Wildflower Portraits, we are lucky to have this beautiful property as one of our neighbours. The owners at Maria River Distillery were generous enough to let us drop in and make the most of their European style landscaping and Australian farm sheds and paddocks, which fit the brief of what Laura was dreaming of for her Model Portfolio shoot. But as much as Laura enjoyed the shoot, I think the highlight for her was actually getting a tour of the distillery afterwards to sample some whiskey, gin and limoncello. 🙂

Q&A with Laura, Post-Shoot

What was your reason for doing a Model Portfolio session?

Modelling is something I have been told to try repeatedly and had promised myself I would do one day, the first place to start is with a good portfolio.

Tell us about the experience of doing a model portfolio shoot with Wildflower Portraits.

Location and photographer were both awesome. Alicia is very welcoming and relaxed but gives professional results. The experience was good in teaching me some of the details about modelling (and preparing for a shoot) that I think are often overlooked when choosing and taking photos for a beginners portfolio.

How did you feel when you saw your final images?

Loved them. Super super cool.
