Alicia Fox
Hi, I’m Alicia, and I’m so thrilled you’re here. As a portrait photographer, my passion is in crafting art that celebrates the beauty, strength, and confidence of women. Whether capturing the intimate moments of Motherhood, the empowering artistry of Boudoir, or your unique style and beauty in a Model Portfolio, each session is a transformative experience. My style is all about bringing out your natural radiance and empowering you to see yourself as the masterpiece you truly are.
Alicia has been working as a professional photographer since 2007. During this time she has developed a signature style, capturing spirit, character and connection in those she photographs. Alicia’s photographic experience is vast and varied, spanning various continents and including the photographic genres of documentary, fashion, music and wedding, always focussing on the human element. This finally led her to open a business focussing on portraiture.
Initially developing her style and craft in the darkroom in the UK and on the streets of Europe, she continued her formal photographic studies in Australia at the dawning of digital photography. Recognising the value of learning from established photographers, Alicia then worked as a photographer’s assistant to a number of commercial, wedding and portrait photographers in Melbourne.
She was employed at a number of highly successful studios, learning the art of portrait and boudoir photography, as well as the importance of providing high quality client service. While living in Japan, she began delving into the world of education, leading photography workshops with groups and individuals. In Japan, Alicia’s photographic work primarily focussed on model portfolios, fashion photography and documentary photography.
This documentary influence continued throughout her years living in Latin America, and travelling around the world where she shot for humanitarian organisations, magazines and personal projects. In Sydney, she worked as a fashion and product photographer for well-known brands before deciding to settle down for a slower pace of life to establish a more personalised customer-focussed photography business. Wildflower Portraits was born…
All of Alicia’s experience in different genres offers a unique style and skill set to the photo shoots offered at Wildflower Portraits. Her portrait, motherhood, model and boudoir sessions are infused with a fashion flair.
Alicia is also an accredited photographic educator. Watch this space for education opportunities, coming soon.
Alicia lives with her husband, James and their gorgeous daughter, in beautiful bushland between Crescent Head and Port Macquarie. Living consciously and sustainably is hugely important to their personal and professional lifestyle. Their home and photography studio are built from reclaimed materials and are completely off-grid.
Alicia’s photographs have been published internationally in magazines and books. These include:
